Planning & Design Meetings IT Meeting 4/18/2012 - MinutesIT Meeting Palo Alto High School 18 April 2012 Page 1 PALO ALTO HIGH SCHOOL Palo Alto Unified School District IT MEETING DATE: 18 April 2012, 11:30 pm - 1:00 pm SUBJECT: Palo Alto High School Performing Arts Center ATTENDEES: Aimee Lopez – OCMI Alexey Demyanenko – PAUSD Brad Gunkel – DLM Oscar Louie – Zeiger The following are the highlights of the meeting: Introductions: 1. The purpose of the meeting was to coordination between Electrical Engineer and District IT. IT (Information): 2. Oscar Louie (OL) and Brad Gunkel (BG) reviewed the current scheme with Alexey Demyanenko (AD) and Aimee Lopez (AL). The following are the coordination items that resulted from the discussion: • House 112 is to have 6 data drops for wireless access points, one in each corner and two in the middle (all above the false ceiling). District will provide equipment. • Classroom 131 to include two data at smartboard, 5 other throughout the room plus one for clock speaker plus 1 for a wireless access point above the pipe grid (9 total). • Office 130 to have 2 data outlets. • Conduit for card readers to be provided at every exterior door • Green Room 123 to have 1 data drop above the ceiling for a wireless access point and one other data (at casework) in Green Room • Provide 2 data outlets in Tickets 136, 1 data outlet in Concessions 109 and 2 data drops for wireless access points in Lobby 101. • Wall mounted rack in IDF 140 is acceptable. IDF 140 may be able to be smaller (making Storage 129 bigger). DLM and Zeiger to coordinate internally • AL stated that we may want a Clock/speaker in the Auditorium (possibly in back – need to be able to turn off speaker). AL to confirm. • DLM will conduit internally to make sure there is a stub-out/box for FA and Fiber connections between PAC and Media Arts • AD stated that fiber should be 6 strand single mode with SC connections contrary to most recent District Standards that DLM and Zeiger have. AL confirmed 6-strand, single mode is the district standard. Patch panels are to be in the contract scope. AL to send DLM most current District Standards. • Fiber should run directly to the MDF located in the library IT Meeting Palo Alto High School 18 April 2012 Page 2 • OL will coordinate with Shalleck regarding data drop location requirements during Design Development. • Phone lines are required for the lift phones. Lines are to be run to the closets patch panel located in building 200. OL and AL to locate the closest phone panel. Action Items (Action): 3. AL to confirm whether a clock/speaker is desired in the Auditorium. 4. AL to send DLM most current District Standards. 5.
