The “hub” should have at least one large meeting room the size of the existing EERC. 7. The Student Activities (SAD) can be reduced in size. The room does not need to be much larger than a standard classroom which would be larger than their existing room. 8. Phil Winston (PW) likes the idea of having some portion of both the library and the administration area open to the Common via folding or sliding glass partitions. 9. Erwin Lee (EL) indicated that the diagram will be adjusted based on the new program information. 10. PW wondered if the second story or mezzanine idea could still be incorporated. Aimee Lopez (AL) noted that a study was done to confirm the area required for the proposed programs and that the additional area provided by the mezzanine would not be necessary. She also noted that it would be expensive space. EL noted that an elevator would also be necessary. 11. AL indicated that at the last meeting some discussion occurred about how the exterior, or a portion of the exterior, could be changed to give the “hub” a greater presence on the quad. EL noted that any exterior alteration, if possible, should not alter the existing building structure. Next Meeting: TBD END Prepared by Erwin Lee of Deems Lewis McKinley.
