Types and descriptions of rooms:
a. Classrooms 14 @ 960 SF = 13,440 SF
b. General Office 1,600 SF
c. Staff Area 700 SF
d. Work Room 150 SF
e. Conference Rooms 2 @ 150 SF = 300 SF
f. Staff Restrooms 2 @ 80 SF = 160 SF

A. CLASSROOMS
General Description:
Standard classroom for Math (14 total for department)
1. Capacity per classroom
24-36 students
2. Adjacencies / Campus Location
• Second floor location
• Student restrooms in general vicinity
3. Room Layout:
• Square in shape of approximately 30 FT x 32 FT
• No interconnection or adjoining doors between classrooms
• Entry to classroom from the back, since markerboards on opposite walls
the rooms can be arranged for both front or back entry
• Markerboards on two opposite wall (16-20 FT), three walls desirable
4. Equipment /Furnishing Provisions and Arrangements:
• Ceiling mounted LCD projector (possible “smartboard”)

B. GENERAL OFFICE
General Description:
Area where each instructor has a cubicle as well as provides space for
assistants or aids.

28 work stations/cubicles
1 Office for IS, approximately 110 SF
Provide area for department secretary

• Adjacent to Staff Area and Work Room
• Close proximity to Staff Restrooms
• Close proximity to classrooms

• Area or alcove for coats

• Provide parking area for laptop cart storage, currently 1 cart but possibly
