Item # Notes
1.1
Design Considerations – Rooms 620 and 630
a. The preferred design is that of the teaching wall opposite to room entrances.
b. Teaching walls shall be 18’ and placed along the wall shared with prep room. This would
probably help minimize noise transition to prep room.
c. Demonstration desk should be 8’ long including a 1) desk area, 2) sink and wet area and
3) demonstration area. It should not be center with the teaching wall. The sink should be
close to the wall. Provide power on 4 sides of the desk.
d. Smart board should be placed on one end of the teaching wall (opposite from the
demonstration desk, so the teaching desk does not block the students view range).
e. Try to avoid corners where kids can hide from teachers view.
f. Provide a mounted LCD projector.
1.2
Design Considerations – 600 Building
a. Improve the building ventilation system. The teachers consider this a sick building.
b. Add windows (if possible) to provide natural cross ventilation. AEDIS to study as builts and
location of shear walls.
c. Background drawings do not show existing conditions. AEDIS to revise location of
counters and sinks.
d. Thermal comfort and appropriate ventilation is a priority to users.
1.3
Next meeting
a. Date and time TBD.
