2.1 Updated utilization plan was reviewed and the following shall be included in the project
scope:
1. Existing classrooms H9,H10 and H11 shall remain as (3) classrooms, no need to
consolidate them into (2) classrooms.
2. If the existing structural system will allow, K12 and K13 shall be consolidated into a
single classroom.
3. If the existing structural system will allow, K9 classroom and video production shall
be relocated to one of the new classrooms within the Admin/Library building and the
current K9 classroom, production room and storage shall be converted into a single
classroom. If this is not possible due to the structural system then K9 as is shall
remain in its current location.
2.2 The following outlines the Administration / library building expansion and renovation:
1. Library
a. The librarian (Dede) handed out a program document that included space
needs, shelving requirements and book capacity. See attached document.
b. In addition, it was noted that a key program requirement is to have the library
adjacent to the new computer lab.
2. Computer Lab
a. Set up this room to include a lab to accommodate 32 students and a resource
room that has direct access and supervision to the computer lab. The lab shall

closely match the JLS and Jordan computer lab size.
b. Direct access to the library is required.
3. Administration
a. Space should be located where the current library is located.
b. Provide a clear entry point.
c. The existing planter area in front of the library is not required to remain.
2.3 Site issues:
1. It was noted that there is a drainage issue between the gymnasium and the “E” wing.
2.4 Gymnasium Issues:
1. Add an epoxy flooring in the boys and girls locker room area to match the shower
flooring material.
2. Replace the existing windows / louvers in the gymnasium with new operable
windows.
3. Modify the entrance hallway to the gymnasium at the west entrance to eliminate the
reception counter area and restroom and re-align the hallway to the existing
windows located on the west side of the gym. This will provide space to expand D22
(Fitness room). The new alignment shall include a new restroom.
4. Add a door from the girls PE office directly to the new entry hallway.
