5.1 Option 4 (single story 8 classroom wing at the corner of the site) and 5 (single story 8
classroom wing in the parking lot west of bldg G) for the new classroom building was
presented and discussed.
1. Both options should be designed with general classroom uses. This means that all
classrooms should have hot and cold water and cabinets in case the rooms are used
for 6th.
2. Lockers would also be needed at either option.
5.2 A new option for the classroom building and cafeteria upgrade was discussed.
1. Relocate classrooms M1 and M2 (music) to the cafeteria complex and then renovate
these two classrooms for another use.
2. Expand the cafeteria to match the size of Terman and JLS’s cafeteria. Jordan’s
cafeteria is 3,600sf and stage is 900 sf. Terman’s is 4,928sf and 1,792sf and JLS is
4,775sf and 1,424sf. And include the relocated M1 and M2 classrooms along with a
kitchen, choir, restrooms and a serving window area.
3. If this occurs then the new classroom building can be 6 classrooms since M1 and M2
will now become available.
5.3 It was also discussed that the science building needs its heating/ventilation fixed.
