Plan from 6/8/10 meeting: 2 smaller "quads". Convert existing classroom building to library with multi-purpose opposite for "public hub". 1.3 Site Plan Options Options: Final Buildout "A", Final Buildout "B", and 2010-2011 (phase I) plan Option "A": More space. Multi-purpose facing school and library. More spacious "public hub". Flex room can be green room for multi-purpose events. Option "B": "Public Hub" more crowded. Multi-purpose further away. Servery more remote. Phase I option would require more classroom construction to plan for option "A" multi-purpose location. 1.4 Discussion New entry along south side of administration building - straight into heart of campus. Reading room at Kindergarten. Assess loss of asphalt and turf play areas with each scheme. With "quad" schemes, concern over student surveillance. One soccer field required - U10 size Like access onto Channing Avenue. Need to meet with traffic committee. Move DKC closer to lower grade "quad" Add parking to east-west access road Reduce new parking adjacent to Channing to maintain play area size. Adventure play versus asphalt. GPA to show options. Confirm no loss of parking spaces. Widen drop-off sidewalk Salvage/ keep kindergarten planters Keep mulberry trees Provide several areas around campus for bike parking 1.5 Future Dates September 13 at 3pm End of Meeting Notes These notes will be considered substantially correct and complete unless otherwise notified in writing within five working days of receipt.
